HIGHLIGHTS

China Beijing International Acupunture Training Center (CBIATC) is affiliated to the Institute of Acupuncture and Moxibustion of China and the Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS). The Training Center serves as an acupuncture training organization for foreigners in Beijing, affiliated to the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SATCM) and CACMS. The CACMS is a TCM organization with a large scope, a variety of disciplines, modern equipment and backed by solid scientific research.

Overview

The China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center (CBIATC) was set up at the request of the World Health Organization (WHO) and approved by the State Council of P.R.C. in 1975. Since its foundation it has been supported and administered by WHO, the Chinese government, State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (SATCM) and China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences (CACMS). The (CBIATC) provides professional teaching and advanced services to foreign students, and health care professionals who wish to learn acupuncture.

Every year four, three month courses are offered at the training center. Two beginner courses and Two advanced courses.

Introductory Course of Acupuncture and Moxibustion

Time: Apr.15 – July 15 and Aug.15 – Nov.15 

Textbook: Essentials of Chinese Acupuncture

 Tuition: 20,000 Chinese Yuan


Gift:

Studying Goal:

Through three months studying, participants will be able to acquire

1: general understanding of the basic theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), participants can apply yin-yang and five elements to know physiological and pathological process of body.

2: Participants can preliminarily know zang-fu theory, understand physiological functions of zang-fu organs, find out differences to understand body physiology and pathology given by TCM and Western medicine.

3: Participants can preliminarily grasp basic theory of acupuncture and moxibustion, understand running courses of fourteen meridians and corresponding relations with zang-fu organs, know distribution rule of twelve regular meridians.

4: Participants can preliminarily know manipulation techniques of four diagnostic methods of TCM, understand indications of diagnosis.

5: Participants mainly study location and indications of points, completely grasp 120 commonly points including location, indications, clinical application and method.

6: Participants can skillfully grasp acupuncture techniques such as insertion, manipulation, retaining and withdrawal of needle.

7: Participants can preliminarily apply the theories that they have studied to analyze diseases, grasp the diagnosis, differentiation and treatment of 25 commonly seen clinical diseases.

Period: 400 hours of theoretical and clinical training are arranged for each three-month course

Way of teaching: in the first week theoretical study both in the morning and in the afternoon, afterwards, clinical training in the hospital in the morning and theoretical study in classroom in the afternoon. On completion of the course, certificate will be issued to those who have passed the examinations (middle, final & clinical).

Advanced Course of Acupuncture and Moxibustion

Time: Jan.5 – Apr.5 and Aug.5 – Nov.5

Textbook: International Acupuncture Textbooks (Four books including Basic theories of traditional Chinese medicine; Diagnostics of traditional Chinese medicine; Meridians and acupoints; Acupuncture therapeutics) 

Tuition: 23,000 Chinese Yuan

Gift:

Studying Goal:

Through three months studying, participants will be able to acquire

1: Participants can systematically understand basic theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine ( TCM ), apply yin-yang and five elements to completely know physiological and pathological process of body, know the thinking of TCM including whole entity and treatment according to differentiation.

2: Participants can systematically know zang-fu theory, understand physiological functions of zang-fu organs, find out differences to understand body physiology and pathology given by TCM and Western medicine, grasp properties of five elements of five zang and six fu organs, so further apply relations of five elements to analyze and understand physiological and pathological relations among zang-fu organs.

3: Participants can grasp basic theory of acupuncture and moxibustion, completely know structure and functions of meridians system based on understanding fourteen meridians. 4: Participants can take more practice of diagnosis based on studying four diagnostic methods of TCM, further know more professional tongue and pulse diagnosis. So that participants can adequately collect symptoms of patients for differentiation based on completely grasping skill of diagnosis.

5: Participants completely grasp 250 points including location, functions, indications, clinical application and method. Participants also learn new application of points on modern acupuncture clinic.

6: Based on skillfully grasping acupuncture techniques such as insertion, manipulation, retaining and withdrawal of needle, participants will study various techniques of reinforcing and reducing of acupuncture. They will also learn techniques of moxibustion, cupping and other methods, ear acupuncture and scalp acupuncture including location, stimulation method and clinical application.

7: Participants will study various differentiation methods with core on eight principles differentiation and zang-fu differentiation, learn meridian differentiation and apply these methods to fully know diseases and guide acupuncture treatment.

8: Based on skillfully applying basic theory of TCM studied before, participants can grasp ability to differentiate and treat 40 commonly seen clinical diseases and some difficultly treated disorders including points prescription and methods.

Tuina Massage courses

In view of some participants’ difficulty in staying longer in China and their interests in different aspects of Chinese medicine some week short term courses are offered (30 hours weekly).

Tuina Massage courses (1---4 weeks)

Tuina Therapy is the one of important Traditional Chinese Therapies,Tuina course includes 10 basic manipulations: Tuifa-Pushing,Mo(rou)fa-Kneading,Gunfa-Rolling,Nafa-Grasping ,Bofa-Plucking , Anfa-Pressing ,Yaofa-Rotating ,Qiandoufa-Stretching,Banfa-Pulling,Koufa-Pounding and Tuina treatment of following diseases: Headache ,Insomnia, Tension, Facial paralysis ,Stiff neck, Cervical spondylosis, Back muscle strain(sprain), Injury of costovertebral joint, Lumbar strain, Acute lumbar sprain, Prolapse of lumber inter-vertebra disc, Periarthritis of shoulder joint (Frozen shoulder), Tennis elbow, Sprain of the wrist or digital joint, Sprain on the hip, knead or ankle joint , Osteoarthrosis , Sciatica ,Fit massage ,and Ear, Hand, Foot reflexology therapy.


Qigong courses

In view of some participants’ difficulty in staying longer in China and their interests in different aspects of Chinese medicine some week short term courses are offered (30 hours weekly).

Qigong courses (1---4 weeks)

Medical qigong, an important part of traditional Chinese medicine, is related closely to the theory and clinical practice of acupuncture. Qigong course provided in the courses involves systematic study of the conception, essential theory and clinical application of qigong. A variety of qigong exercises, such as Qigong Taiji 15 Postures, Inner-Nourishing Qigong, Standing Stump, Inner Qi Cultivation and Eight-section Brocade , will be taught according to the request of the participants.

Taiji courses

In view of some participants’ difficulty in staying longer in China and their interests in different aspects of Chinese medicine some week short term courses are offered (30 hours weekly).

Taiji courses (1---4 weeks)

Shadow boxing, an important component of Chinese culture, has played a significant role in understanding Chinese culture and Chinese philosophy. With prolonged evolution shadow boxing has become an important medical and health preservation approach. The course arranged concerns with the basic theory of shadow boxing, including the conception of shadow boxing, history of different schools, shadow boxing in connection with Chinese philosophy, and the essentials of shadow boxing practice, such as respiration, body movement, etc, Taijiquan of 24-simplified postures or of 42 competitive routines shall be taught according to the request of the participants.


Courses on TCM diagnosis

In view of some participants’ difficulty in staying longer in China and their interests in different aspects of Chinese medicine some week short term courses are offered (30 hours weekly).

Courses on TCM diagnosis (2---4 weeks)

Introduction of various diagnostic methods of TCM and the clinical application of the methods explained with case analysis are offered in the courses. The arrangement of theoretic learning and clinic practice is 1:1in period, with a stress laid on practice. The participants will get their experiences directly in the practice as well as by learning from experienced teachers, thus, the capability of the participants in making diagnosis will rapidly increase.

Courses on pain


In view of some participants’ difficulty in staying longer in China and their interests in different aspects of Chinese medicine some week short term courses are offered (30 hours weekly).

Courses on pains (2---4 weeks)


The courses involve the origin, pathogenesis and classification of pains, application of four diagnostic methods, the key points for differentiating pains, the acupuncture therapies, methods for common pains and personal experiences in managing pains.

Courses on Neijing


In view of some participants’ difficulty in staying longer in China and their interests in different aspects of Chinese medicine some week short term courses are offered (30 hours weekly).

Courses on Neijing (The medical literature of Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classic (selective chapters 2---4 weeks)


The Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classic is the earliest extant monograph on TCM, the courses are provided for those who already have the essential knowledge of acupuncture or have practiced acupuncture, through studying important chapters of Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classic the understanding on the theory and origin of TCM application will be further deepened.

Prof. Zhu Bin (M.D. Ph.D. Paris University) Is the Director of the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center, President of Institute of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Director of WHO Collaborating Center of Traditional Medicine. He heads a professional team with more than 30 years' of experience in teaching acupuncture.


This experience has created an excellent teaching team. The teachers and translators will help students surmount language obstacles to learn Chinese culture and experience the marvelous traditional Chinese medicine.

With the unique methods and plans and seven teaching languages, the teaching at this training center uses traditional and multimedia aids. In addition it is characterized by the organic combination of theory and practice, at the individual requests, and with people models for acupoint-locating.

The China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center offers a number of training courses based on the individual needs of participants. These courses can be offered in six different foreign languages and students can practice in more than ten cooperating hospitals.

The Introductory course: 

Essentials of Chinese Acupuncture is adopted as the textbook. In this three-month course the participants will be able to acquire a general understanding of the basic theory of TCM and a preliminary mastery of the fundamentals of acupuncture and moxibustion in relation to basic manipulation techniques. They will learn the locations of about 120 commonly used points, and the treating methods for about 25 common diseases by applying syndrome differentation according to the theory of meridians.

The Advanced course:

Chinese Acupuncture is adopted as a textbook. Participants will learn tongue and pulse diagnosis, syndrome differentiation according to the theory of the Zang-fu organs, compound needling techniques, application of specific points, and the treatment of common diseases. They will acquire a thorough understanding of the meridian system and a mastery of the locations and indications of about 250 points. Consequently, they will be able to treat about 40 common diseases with the principle of differentiation fo syndromes.

The prices for both the beginner and advanced acupunture course at the China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Course only includes the course itself. Accommodation, food and any other expenses should be budgeted for by participants.

Note:

A: The time of three months courses is fixed and we launch them every year at the same time.

B: Invitation letter – When you need our invitation letter to apply visa to China, please give us copy of passport; fill application form (download form in http://www.cbiatc.com/en/registration.aspx); copy of educational certificate or diploma by email.

C: Registration fee – 10% of tuition (for example, introductory course costs 20,000 Chinese Yuan, student will pay 2,000 Yuan as registration fee) to school bank account after application, then 90% of tuition when study in the school.
