Kun Khmer Training Camp

In the Kun Khmer Training Camp you will train with Kingdom Fight Gyms fighters. This does not mean you have to fight. But it does mean that the intensity of the class is much higher. During this class you will train along the gyms fighters twice a day, 2 hours at a time. These sessions will typically include running, fighting techniques, drills, bag and pad work as well as clinching and sparring. Despite being a fight camp it is still open to all levels and abilities.

The Best Time to Visit

The best time of year to visit the gym is between November and February. This is generally when tourism for Siem Reap is at its peak. During this time the weather is dry and cool approximately 25 degrees, and the rice fields give the whole countryside an amazing iridescent green glow. Between February and May, the heat kicks in and the countryside is dry and harsh. From June to October the rains gradually increase with short showers gradually becoming continual downpours. The rains often cause flooding, and some years whole areas of the town can be totally under water for days at a time. Despite this, Siem Reap in rainy season can be very beautiful. There are substantially fewer tourists, and the moats around the temples are full to bursting, giving amazing reflections of the monuments in their still waters. The forests are green and lush and the waterfalls at their max. With the right clothes there's nothing to worry about.

I have been training at Kingdom Fight Gym for two weeks now and I love the family atmosphere that Kwok, Rith and Daz has created. Every session is detailed and personalized to suit each individual. In the last two weeks I have improved so much from where I first began due to the coaches personal investment to maximize my training. This is the best camp and gym atmosphere that I have ever experienced. I would recommend anyone who wants to improve on their Western boxing and learn Khun Khmer this is the place for them!

Got what I expected and even more, they're all beautiful people. You train hard and you'll see the evolution really quickly. I didn't even know anything about the foot work. And 2 weeks later I was to do some sparring and be confident about it. Really good gym and most of the people in town know about it, which tells you about how good a reputation the place has!

Kingdom Fight Gym offers the opportunity for those visiting Siem Reap to learn not only the ancient art of Kun Khmer but also to enrich that experience with travel to amazing historic sites of interest and beauty. No visit to Siem Reap Province, would be complete without a visit to Angkor's Temples. These temples attract millions of tourists each year. And through the Gym you can get the inside tips on how to do them in a way that will suit your sense of adventure as well as budget. Even if your time is limited you should plan to visit the Temples of Angkor, Bayon, Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm, these are considered to be the big three.

Getting around Siem Reap and to the temples is relatively easy. The most popular way to do it is by Tuk-tuks which normally cost from $10-$15 USD per day excluding surcharges. Kingdom Fight Gym will happily recommend you a good local driver.
