I came to this school with a basic knowledge of other martial arts such as Taekwondo Fencing and Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan. I wanted to practice Chen Style Tai Chi Chuan to develop my martial arts skill and could be used to teach my students in the future. However, I realized that the experience of 6 months have been trained here, make me learned much more than expected. I've always wondered why the Tai Chi Chuan students and so many people in my Country take 5-10 years practicing Tai Chi Chuan but still can not achieve high success. Trained here I learned that ¡°the basic training slowly and step-by-step perfectly are very important to the advancement and success in the future¡±. I have seen many people who eagerly to practice a lot of Tai Chi forms in a short time without a care in the development process of body, mind and the Qi such as a warm-up, Qi training, Silk Reeling and basic movement of walking, kicking, punching , etc.

The omission of these things have resulted in a level of there performance was the only volume or the number of forms they can do. But in terms of quality, they can not achieve success in the physical strength, the peace and stability of mind and the wisdom to achieve the true spirit of Tai Chi. Because of this, makes me realize that the practice of Tai Chi need to start from the basic step-by-step slowly and each step must be perfect and fully understood before smoothly further developed. This is the most valuable lessons that I will use for my Tai Chi student in the future. In addition, in only 6 months, I had experienced many of Tai Chi forms and sword. I felt stronger physically, mentally calm and happy with everything, as well as more understand in Tai Chi. These makes me confident that I can bring it to correctly teaching to my student.

I think the advantage that I have taken here is more than the practice in my country for over 10 years. Thanks ¡°Tina¡± trainer and very good friends. She had a tremendous effort to teach the students although many students will be left behind. She had the patience to many problems in order to tried her best to help that anyone can achieve the perfect practice as well as to to facilitate the student's daily life. Thanks chef for nutritious food and his efforts to met the needs of everyone as possible.

Thanks classmates : - Eric (France), Yves (R¨¦union), Marlous (Holland), Colin (Australia), Robert (Scotland), Nick (New Zealand) and others that I had learned various different culture and attitudes as well as fun to practice together and travel together in many beautiful places of Yangshuo. Finally, thanks for experience in ¡°Yang Shuo Huang Hua Tai Chi Academy¡±

Although I practiced only 6 months, I have benefited as if learned over 10 years in my country.

My experience at the Taichi School My name is Benjamin Viatte and I have been practicing at Yangshuo Taichi School for one year. Though beforehand, I didn't have the slightest clue about the practices I was going to learn, they now profoundly changed my body, my mind, my way of living. I am now honored to be able to transmit this knowledge to other people, making their lives better as well. Though this whole experience is very rewarding, it wasn't easy the whole time: many of the exercises necessary to learn Taichi require a fair bit of patience, and that is exactly the quality that you will have acquired when you return home. Training is usually done in a small group, which is the perfect compromise between teacher-student time and student-student practices.

The training doesn't fill up every minute of your day either, so you have flexibility to train what you like during the off-time. The food is very good, healthy, and very Chinese. Perfect for this kind of environment. The nature around the school is awe-inspiring, a real catalyst for finding inner energy and drawing energy from the outside as well. The only downside is that in rare high seasons, the restaurant can get quite busy and noisy, but this only happens several weeks throughout the year. The building is located slightly outside of Yangshuo, which helps prevent you from getting too much into the nightlife, not a bad thing for peaceful and balanced practice. The school is by the riverside, making a relaxing swim - or bamboo raft ride - just steps away. All in all, it was truly a life-enriching experience; I will be back one day. In the meantime, I will be sure to carry and share these treasures all over the world. Thank you for reading and I wish you the very best.

"It is one thing to learn about the ancestral Qi Gong vitality exercises, the Tao way of life and a way to celebrate that in every step in a manner we call Taichi Quan. But without the right people to show you the steps, this journey would have been impossible to accomplish by myself. When these people share their heart and passion for life, they become friends. When you learn the power of Chi and when you learn that Chi is not affected by distance, then these friends are connected to you forever, no matter where you are in the world.

It was an honor to share this wonderful experience with all of you through the openness of a very special Chinese person who make me believe that everything is possible. Thank you Henry. Thank you Master Sifu. May all the pandas be proud of your accomplishment. I will never forget all the great teachers that each of you are. "
